Sugar prices down on poor demand

Navi Mumbai, July 7 (UNI) Sugar prices came down on poor demand, traders at the wholesale sugar market said today.

Sugar in small and medium grades declined by Rs 14 and Rs five per quintal respectively on thin buying support.

Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades also eased by Rs five and Rs 30 per quintal respectively on increased offers by stockists.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,356/1,407, Medium grade: Rs 1,411/1,520, Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,340/1,360, Medium grade: Rs 1,400/1,440.
