Seven children among 11 people killed in Nepal crash
KATHMANDU, July 7 (Reuters) At least 11 people, including seven children, were killed and four others injured when a tractor with an attached trolley plunged into an irrigation canal in Nepal, state-run television reported today.
Nepal Television said the toll could rise as rescuers looked for other members of the wedding party travelling in the crowded tractor-trolley.
The accident occurred late yesterday at Barhathawa village, 100 km southeast of Kathmandu.
Road accidents are common in Nepal, which has poorly maintained roads.
