Sarpanch nabbed taking Rs 30,000 bribe

Chandigarh, July 7 (UNI) Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught red-handed a Sarpanch of Barnala village in Ambala District while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 30,000 from a man for running wine shop.

Parmjeet Singh, Sarpanch of Barnala in District Ambala was nabbed while taking the bribe from Gajraj Singh, resident of Vivek Vihar, Ambala City in lieu of giving the permission to run a wine shop in Barnala village.

A case has been registered undr the Prevention of Corruption Act,1988 in the bureau's police station at Ambala.
