Rowdy stabbed to death in TN district

Kancheepuram, Jul 7 (UNI) A terror-stricken rowdy was stabbed to death while walking on a street near Mannivakkam Government School in this district when an unidentified gang attacked him with swords.

Police said four murder cases and four assault cases were pending against the deceased Jayaraman(34). He hailed from Mannivakkam in this district.

It is being alleged that Jayaraman was killed by the gang in retaliation to his murder of Shiela, the brother of Murugan, residing in the same area, a few months ago.

A police team as per the instructions of the District Police Superintendent A Amalraj rushed to the spot and removed the body for post-mortem at Chengalpattu Government Hospital.

A case had been registered and efforts were on to trace the accused, police added.
