UP: Retired junior engineer commits suicide

Mau, July 7: A retired irrigation department junior engineer has committed suicide by consuming sleeping pills in Sadar Kotwali area here.

According to police, the victim Jagdish Pandey (59) had retired on July 3 this month.

A suicide note found said he was taking his life due to a departmental probe pending against him.

Meanwhile, his son had held the irrigation department responsible for the incident.
