NCP urges Delimitation Commission to reconsider its proposal
Patna, Jul 7 (UNI) The Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) today urged the Delimitation Commission to reconsider its recommendations on 'wiping out' the Saharsa Parliamentary and Kumarkhand assembly constituencies respectively.
In a memorandum submitted to the Commisslon, party's media convenor Suraj Yadav protested against its proposal to wind up these constituencies and described it as 'infeasible'. The administrative and geographic aspects had not been taken into consideration by the Commission in its recommendations, he added.
While terming as 'unfortunate' the Commission's proposal to declare Sonbarsa and Singheshwar assembly constituencies as 'reserved', Mr Yadav also urged it to reconsider the proposal.
