Case registered against former UP minister

Kaushambhi, July 7 (UNI) Three criminal cases have been registered against former Uttar Pradesh minister and senior Samajwadi Party leader Matesh Chandra Sonkar and his kin.

The cases relate to assault, issuing threats and encroahment on land.

Police Superintendent O P Sagar today said the cases were filed on the complaints of the affected persons in the last two days.
