BEEO denied bail in bribery case

Patna, July 7 (UNI) The special vigilance judge of Patna S P N Singh today rejected the regular bail petition of a Block Education Extension Officer (BEEO) Amod Kumar Jha in a bribery case.

According to the charges, Jha was arrested by vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a headmaster for relieving him for joining in another school on transfer.

Jha was arrested on June 1, 2007 at Purnea when he was posted as a BEEO of Amaur block in Purnea district.
