Asst.Engineer amass wealth about Rs.1.5 crore
Belgaum, July 7 (UNI) The Karnataka Lokayukta today raided the house of an Assistant Engineer in Belgaum and unearthed property and cash worth Rs 1.5 crore.
A case of amassing disproportionate wealth to known source of income had been filed against the Asst Engineer Kumar S Doddamani in Belgaum, following raid carried out on credible information, Assistant Director General of Police (Lokayukta) said in a release here.
Mr Doddamani was in the Health Systems Development and Reforms Project of the state Government.
The official had residential houses in Belgaum and Davanagere valued at about Rs one crore. Besides he had movable properties worth Rs 25 lakh, vehicles worth Rs five lakh and cash of about two lakh.
Mr Doddamani also possessed gold and silver articles worth Rs ten lakh.
Some more documents unearthed in the raid were being verified, the release added.
