25 suspected Bangladeshis nabbed

Yamunanagar, July 7 (UNI) The Haryana Police nabbed 25 people, including women and children, on suspicion of being illegal Bangladeshi immigrants here today.

These people, including four women and half a dozen children, were nabbed from a slum area in Gandhinagar area of the city, police sources said.

During their interrogation at the police station, the accused however insisted that they were Indian citizens and hailed from West Bengal. They were living in the city for over three years.

The Haryana Police had recently nabbed some illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in Panipat also.
