Two thieves nabbed by police

Phagwara, July 6 (UNI) Phillaur Police had arrested two members of a gang of thieves and recovered two stolen motorcycles and gold ornaments from their possession last night, police said today.

Phillaur DSP Harpreet Singh Benepal told mediapersons here that both the thieves, identified as Resham Lal and Kulwinder Singh, were from Phillaur.

The DSP said that the arrested thieves had confessed before the police that they had stolen one motorcycle from Banga and the other from Ludhiana.

Both the accused had been sent in police remand for three days, the police added.
