TTD to open concept schools in AP

Tirupati, July 6 (UNI) To provide value-based education to poor children, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) was planning to sign an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh Government for starting Sri Venkateswara Gurukulam Schools at village level across the state.

Talking to newspersons here today, TTD Excutive Officer K V Ramanachary said the modalities for the concept schools were being prepared by Revenue Secretary I V Suba Rao.

These schools woud be on par with corporate schools, TTD Chairman B Karunakar Reddy said adding a trust would be set up to open modern spiritual gurukul schools in all district headquarters in the state.

Referring to the second phase of the 'Kalyanamasthu' programme, he said awareness meetings were held all over the state except in Kurnool and Srikakulam due to recent floods.
