Rupee opens flat at 40.44/45 per US Dollar
Mumbai, July 6: Rupee opened nearly flat today at 40.44/45 per dollar compared to the previous close of 40.43/44.
The local unit is still the strongest Asian currency and is trading currently at 40.45/46 levels.
During the intra-day session, Rupee marked a low of 40.48/49 but improved position from continuing capital inflows.
Rupee traded range-bound yesterday and traders foresee further correction from Reserve bank, which intervened in market and bought dollars, to stem Rupee's upward move.
Traders expect further strengthening of rupee in coming sessions if inflow continue to the market from Foreign Institutional Investors.
