Plane crashes into cars in Mexico, kills 9

Culiacan (Mexico), July 6: A cargo plane crashed into cars and killed nine people when it lost control during a landing in the northern Mexican city of Culiacan today, a rescue official said.

The plane overshot the runway and ran onto a road, hitting a military vehicle and other cars, said Francisco Diaz, director of civil protection in the state of Sinaloa.

Two soldiers, four civilians and three crew members were killed in the crash, he said.
