Andhra Pradesh: 9 year old boy commits suicide

Machilipatnam, Jul 6: A nine-year-old boy K Sairam of Pedamuttevi village at Movva Mandal in Krishna district today committed suicide.

Police said the boy doused kerosene on his body and set himself ablaze when his parents admonished him for neglecting his studies and for his indifferent behaviour.

Sairam was admitted to Government Hospital here and later shifted to University General Hospital at Vijayawada, where he succumbed to his injuries tonight.

A case had been registered and investigation was underway, police added.
