Natorious 'Supari Killer' nabbed in Pune

Gulbarga, July 6 (UNI) The city police have arrested a notorious hired killed in Pune who was allegedly involved in ten murder and other cases like extortion and kidnappings in Karnatka and Maharashtra and seized two guns and ammunition from him.

ASP Nagaraj told UNI that the criminal Bhagappa Uchappa(28) was a member in Chandappas harijan gang, who was killed in an encounter in 2002.

The official said that the Bhagappa, who had been elusive for nearly ten years, had allegedly killed six people in different incidents in Bijapur district and another four persons the gulbarga district.

On a tip off, a special task force team went to Pune and arrested the criminal yesterday. A 9 mm pistol, a point 303 rifle and 20 cartridges, apart from other lethal weapons were seized.

He was produced in a city court which remanded him to judicial custody.
