Bhopal, July 6 (UNI) Two people, including a father and his son, died when lightning struck them in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district even as light to moderate rainfall occurred in several parts of the state.

Regional Meteorological Department Director D P Dubey said widespread rains are likely in the state in the next two-three days courtesy a low-pressure area built over West Bengal moving towards Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh was experiencing rainfall at present because of an upper air cyclonic circulation built over Rajasthan.

Guna received 5 cm rainfall, followed by Damoh (2), Banda (2), Umaria (1), Jabalpur (1), Tendukheda (1), Sagar (1), Neemuch (1) and Ujjain (1).
