Explosives seized in Mahoba district

Mahoba, July 6 (UNI) Smuggled explosive in a large quantity were seized from this district of Uttar Pradesh.

A large number of explosives were seized during the joint checking of Trade Tax department and police yesterday, sources said.

Additional Commissioner, Trade Tax, Dr Uday Bhan told UNI here ''electronic detonator and zelatin rods were recovered from a vehicle, while its checking in Kabrai. The vehicle had also been seized.

On interrogation, the vehicle driver revealed the explosives were being brought from Madhya Pradesh.

An investigation was on.
