Two killed in plane crash in western Ireland
DUBLIN, July 5 (Reuters) A light aircraft crashed in western Ireland today, killing two people, police said.
''A light aircraft crashed in Inveran in County Galway. It is a small airstrip there,'' a police spokeswoman said. ''We can confirm there were two fatalities.'' She said she could not comment on media reports that the aircraft was an eight-seater Cessna that had missed the runway while landing at an airfield 32 km west of Galway city.
National broadcaster RTE said three people had walked away from the wreckage and ambulances had taken injured from the scene.
