Maruti Udyog Ltd rolls out Grand Vitara

New Delhi, July 5: Country's largest carmaker Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) today launched its much-awaited SUV model the new Grand Vitara priced between Rs 13.80 lakh and Rs 14.80 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The new vehicle is powered with J series, VIS engine with capacity of 2.0 litre and 1995 CC.

The car's MT model is priced at Rs 13.80 lakh and the high-end model AT at Rs 14.80 lakh.

''Grant Vitara happens to be our swift model in less than 12 months. It widens the range of products that Maruti offered. We are reaching out to customers who want an authentic SUV experience, backed by the value and assurance of Maruti Suzuki,'' MUL MD and CEO Gagdish Khatter told reporter here.

He said the new vehicle will be imported from Japan with complete built segment.

Mr Khattar also said the interest rate effect has not yet peaked out and it is still impacting the sales.
