Mahindra unveils two new petrol variants
Chennai, July 5: Mahindra Renault today unveiled two new petrol and diesel variants of the Logan within the existing range, to enhance the value proposition for the customer.
Addressing a press conference here, Managing Director Rajesh Jejurikar said the new variants of 1.6 GLX (petrol) and 1.5 DLX (diesel) were priced at Rs 5.35 lakh and Rs 6.11 lakh respectively and positioned in between the GLE/DLE and GLS/DLS variants of Logan.
He said the new models were introduced on the basis of customer demand and they would raise the bar further in the mid-size segment of the Indian car market. "They offer great value to the aspirational buyer who wants more features at a keen price. The new variants were already ready, but introduced at the right time," he said, adding they would be available in six colours.
Logan was manufactured by the Mahindra and Mahindra at its Nashik plant, which had an installed capacity to produce 50,000 units annually in two shifts. The wide-body car was designed for the Indian market, incorporating a contemporary styling and design.
The models would be available in select showrooms and in the next three months, they would be available at 68 showrooms across the country, he said, adding the company would launch its sale in Kerala by the end of this month.
