Kaushik Patel refutes Congress claim for flood relief

Gandhinagar, July 5 (UNI) Gujarat Revenue Minister Kaushik Patel today refuted the claim made by Congress that its Central Minister Manikrao Gavit gave his helecopter to carry out rescue missions during floods in the state.

''Congress' claim is nothing but a publicity stunt. Mr Gavit was to conduct aerial survey on BSF helecopter, which was to come from Jodhpur. When the BSF helecopter could not make it due to some unknown reason, Mr Gavit asked for a Chetak helicopter from the Central government,'' he said.

''He carried out the aerial survey in the Chetak helicopter.

There was no question of Mr Gavit giving out his helecopter for the resue operation,'' Mr Patel added.
