Congress stages walkout in Uttarakhand Assembly

Dehra Dun, July 5 (UNI) The Opposition Congress today staged a walkout in the Uttarakhand Assembly over an''unsatisfactory'' reply on Agriculture Policy in the state by Agriculture Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat.

Congress member Kumar Pranav Singh Champion, during Question Hour, sought a reply from the Agriculture Minister on Agriculture Policy in the state.

When the Minister failed to explain, Leader of the Opposition Harak Singh Rawat alleged that Mr Trivendra had not done his homework properly before coming to the House and thus failed to render satisfactory replies to the queries.

Shouting ''shame shame'' slogans, Congress members walked out of the House five minutes prior to the end of the Question Hour.
