Mumbai, July 5 (UNI) The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate and strengthen bilateral trade and investment between India and Vietnam.

The MoU aims at bilateral cooperation to further improve and expand trade, investment, technology cooperation and will pursue the establishment of the 'Vietnam-India Business Forum' to create a permanent vehicle for the promotion of bilateral cooperation.

The MoU was signed here in the presence of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, by Dr Vu Tien Loc, Chairman and President of the VCCI and his counter part in India, Syamal Gupta, Member CII National Council and Chairman Tata International Ltd.

Both countries have shown keen interest in working together to maintain the security of the region and to make sure there are no impediments to the continued growth of the countries as well as the region.

''Both India and Vietnam face similar challenges and together they can cooperate on various issues to make greater success stories,'' he added.
