BJP to have booth level panel in 15 lakh booths
New Delhi, July 5 (UNI) Learning from the past mistakes, the BJP has decided to be ready with booth level committee of dedicated active workers in each of the 15 lakh booths in the country in the next three months keeping the 2008 elections in ten states and Lok Sabha elections in 2009.
BJP President Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the party programme "BJP on each booth" campaign in Madhya Pradesh where Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and other senior leaders would be present, BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told newspersons here.
He said all the prominent leaders of the party will tour various states in the next three months to strengthen the campaign and the result will be that the party would have booth level cadres even in areas where the party was totally weak or had nominal representation.
Several top BJP leaders including Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, M Venkaiah Naidu, Kalyan Singh, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Prof Bal Apte, Mr Yashwant Sinha, Gopinath Munde and Narendra Modi, Ram Lal and Vinay Katiyar will be kick starting the campaign from tomorrow.
The programme will begin from tomorrow, the birth day of Jana Sangh founder S P Mukherjee and conclude on September 25, the birth anniversary of another Jana Sangh stalwart Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Mr Naqvi said.
