22 black bucks die in flood waters in Bhavnagar
Bhavnagar, Gujarat, July 5 (UNI) As many as 22 black bucks have died in flood waters in Velavadar wildlife sanctuary here, officials said.
A senior forest officer told UNI ''22 bodies of black bucks were found today as flood waters receded from the sanctuary. Their bodies appeared to have been bloated due to the water.'' He said the floods that claimed several human lives were also responsible for the death of the black bucks.
Velavadar wildlife sanctury, about 250 km from Gujarat's capital of Gandhinagar, is famous for black bucks and other animals like leopards, bears and birds.
