1,824 pilgrims leave for Amarnath shrine on day 4
Jammu, July 5: The fourth batch of 1,824 pilgrims left Jammu base camp for Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas this morning, official sources said.
A 62 vehicle carrying, 992 men, 494 women, 36 children and 302 Sadhus, left for Nunwan and Baltal yatra camps at 0500 hrs, sources said.
The commencement of the pilgrimage, which was scheduled from June 30, was delayed by two days due to heavy rains and landslides en route making track slippery and risky.
