Rupee opens at 40.55/57 against USD

Mumbai, July 4: Indian rupee today opened at 40.55/57 per US dollar, almost same as compared to the previous close of 40.54/55.

During the early day session, the local unit touched an intra-day low of 40.58/59, said dealers.

According to market observers, trade activities were less in the early session and will remain same due to US Independence holiday.
