'Internal acts responsible for present crisis in Pak'
Sriangar, July 4: Blaming internal acts for present crisis inPakistan, chairman of the breakaway Hurriyat Conference (HC) Syed AliShah Geelani today expressed concern and sorrow over the Lal Masjidincident in which 16 persons have been killed.
Talking to a group of delegation, headed by Miraz Tanveer Akhter,of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) at his residence where he has beenput under house arrest since this morning, Mr Geelani expressed sorrowover the loss of lives in the Lal Masjid incident.
''Internal acts were more responsible for the present crisiswithin Pakistan against any external acts'', he told the delegation.
He said after 9/11, authorities in Pakistan were equally responsible for atrocities being committed by United States.
Mr Geelani said common people in Pakistan feels insecurity from the authorities who are blindly helping US to suppress Muslims.
He said the present Lal Masjid crisis was because of negative policies of the Pak government.
The Lal masjid crisis is shocking for us because we want to see Pakistan united, he said.
A spokeman of the HC Aiyaz Akbar said the ''Azad Kashmir''delegation and Mr Geelani had detailed discussion over the ''freedomstruggle'' in Kashmir.
He said the head of the delegation Mr Akhter appreciated the stand taken by Mr Geelani on the Kashmir issue.
Mr Aiyaz said that Mr Akhter told Mr Geelani that people ofPakistan and ''Azad Kashmir'' are waiting for his visit to that country.
Mr Akhter said the Kashmir issue was affected because Pakistan has its own problems.
Mr Geelani made it clear to the delegation that the present policyof Pakistan on Kashmir was unacceptable to the people the Jammu andKashmir.
He said the formulas being presented by the Pakistan government onKashmir are not clear. Indian security forces are committing HumanRights violation in Kashmir, he alleged.
The HC chairman had said present policy of Pakistan hurts thesentiments of people of Jammu and Kashmir. It will not only weaken thecause of Kashmiris, but Pakistan itself will be a loser.
