Eicher Motors bags order from DRS Logistics

New Delhi, July 4: Commercial vehicle manufacturer Eicher MotorsLtd today said it has bagged an order of 225 Heavy Commercial Vehicles(HCVs) from DRS Logistics Ltd for the 25T Multi-axle Galaxy range ofvehicles and the newly launched 40T tractor trailer Mega 40.40.

While already around 100 units have been supplied by the company,the balance order for 125 vehicles will be met by the end of thismonth, the company said in a statement here.

''This new development will further strengthen our relationshipand we hope to provide them with improved levels of serviceexcellence,'' Eicher Motors CEO (commercial vehicles) A Ramasubramaniansaid in the statement.

DRS Logistics Ltd has a fleet of around 600 vehicles out of whichalmost 325 are Eicher vehicles. It is expected that by the end of thecurrent year, almost 80 per cent of DRS's fleet will comprise Eichervehicles.

''High reliability of the vehicles coupled with turn-aroundcapability backed by both product quality and efficient customerservice support has made us confident in choosing Eicher vehicles,''DRS Logistics Ltd Chairman and Managing director Dayanand Agarwal said.
