11 poachers held
Panna, MP, July 4 (UNI) Eleven people, including three women, were arrested on the charge of poaching in the Panna National Park here, park sources said.
Park's regional officer R T Sanago said the poachers were arrested during a two-day campaign, launched to nab hunters in the park's Mandala, Ken Gharial and Panna ranges.
Two alive 'goh (guhera)', a dead 'kabar bijju' (weasel) and 'goh' flesh were seized from them.
A local court today sent these poachers to jail.
Mr Sanago said the park had been closed for visitors from July 1 to October 1 because of rainy season. Poachers become active when visits to the park is reduced.
