Eighth suspect arrested over UK bomb plot - police

LONDON, July 2 (Reuters) An eighth suspect connected to a plot to blow up car bombs in London and Scotland has been arrested, the British police said today but would not say where the man was detained.

''A man was arrested at an undisclosed location in connection with the investigation into the incidents in London and Glasgow,'' the police said in a statement. ''He remains in custody.'' The BBC reported that the man was arrested overseas, but did not say in which country.
