RFQs invited for franchise for electricity distribution in MP

Bhopal, July 2 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Central Zone Electricity Distribution Company has invited requests for appointing franchise for electricity distribution arrangements in eight divisions of its distribution area.

Under the Gwalior area, applications had been invited for Ashok Nagar, Bhind, Guna, Muganwli and Raghogarh, whereas applications had been invited for Itarsi, Biaora and Vidisha divisions under the Bhopal area. The last date for purchase of application forms is July 6, an official release said here today.

Company officials informed that transmission, distribution and commercial losses could be minimised by appointing franchise.

Besides, meter billing could be improved and better services could be provided to the consumers.

New alternative arrangements could also be made for bills collection and installation of new connections could be improved by appointing franchise.

Any company, voluntary organisation, co-operative society or an individual can apply for the franchise.
