ORHDC scam: accused Mallick surrenders

Bhubaneswar, July 2 (UNI) A former accountant of Orissa Rural Housing Development Corporation(ORHDC), accused in misappropriating crores of rupees of the Corporation, today surrendered before the Special Chief Judicial Magistrate court here.

Vigilance sources said Chittaranjan Mallick, evading arrest, finally surrendered in the court after proclamation and attachment were executed and his immovable and movable property, including residential buildings, sponze and power plant at Telkoi, crusher, petrol pumps and a fleet of trucks were seized.

His bail petition was rejected and the accused was sent to judicial custody by the court.
