Cement despatches grew by 3.69 per cent in June

Mumbai, July 2 (UNI) The Aditya Birla Group's cement production for the period April-June 2007 has moved up by 4.24 per cent at 80.36 lakh million tonnes (MT) as against 77.09 lakh mt during April-June 2006.

Cement despatches during the same period grew by 3.69 per cent at 79.73 lakh mt in April-June 2007 vis-a-vis 76.89 lakh mt in the corresponding period last year, a release issued by Aditya Birla Group said today.

Cement performance of group for the month of June 2007 rose by 6.20 per cent at 25.73 lakh mt while despatches were up by 2.23 per cent at 25.29 lakh mt in June 2007.
