Aviaion turbine fuel prices hiked once again

New Delhi, Jul 2: Travellers may have to pay more as Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) today hiked aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices for the fourth time this year.

For the domestic sector prices excluding sales tax in Delhi went up in July compared to June from Rs 36,746.53 last month to Rs 37,779.54 per kilolitre.

In Kolkata, it was up from Rs 42,263.34 to Rs 43,508.15 per kilolitre. Mumbai, it has been raised to Rs 39,062.46 from Rs 37,973.30 and Chennai from Rs 40,068.70 to Rs 41,204.30 per kilolitre.

For the international sector, prices in July compared to June excluding sales tax went up from 697.89 dollars per kilolitre to 708 dollars in Delhi,733.37 dollars to 745.67 dollars per kilolitre in Kolkata. In Mumbai 691.85 dollars to 701.91 dollars a kilolitre and 692.76 dollars from 682.37 dollars in Chennai.

Indian refiners revise aviation fuel prices once a month and it is the largest component of costs for carriers such as Jet Airways ( India ) Ltd.
