7 killed, 15 injured in collision between two buses

Lucknow, July 2 (UNI) At least seven people were killed and 15 others grievously injured today after a speeding Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus collided head-on with another bus in Tilhar area of Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

Police said the bus, en route from Sonauli to New Delhi, rammed into an oncoming bus, on the way to Lucknow from Bareilly, near Roopkhera, killing six passengers on the spot.

The critically injured were rushed to hospital, where one succumbed to injuries. The rest were said to be in serious condition.

Five of the deceased's were identified as Khem Raj, Nepal, Phooleshwari Devi, Devariya and Ram Autar, while two others remained unidentified.
