102 cases filed after arrack ban in Karnataka
Bangalore, July 2 (UNI) The Excise department and the Police in joint action has filed 102 cases and arrested 16 persons after conducting a crackdown on illegal arrack and illicit liquire manufacturing followig the ban on arrack, which came into effect from Saturday night.
According to a statement issued by the Excise Commissioner said during the state wide raids conducted by a large number of policemen and the excise staff, 1.82 lakh libres of arrack, 2020 litres of toddy, 216 litres of IMFL, 9050 litres of spirit and eight vehicles had been seized.
