Two awarded life imprisonment in murder case

Patna, Jun 30 (UNI) A local sessions court today awarded life imprisonment to two people in a murder case.

The judge also slapped fine of Rs 10,000 against each of the convicts.

Additional District and sessios judge of Patna S P N Singh found guilty Amarendra Singh and Nagendra Singh, the residents of Gorkhari village under Vikram police station of Patna district of committing the murder of their co-villager Pappu Singh.

According to the charges, the victim, Pappu Singh, was shot dead by the convicts in 2000.

The reason behind the killing was old enmity.

Meanwhile, Public Prosecutor, in-charge, J P Singh informed that since January, 2007, altogether 104 people had already been awarded life imprisonment in different cases at Patna district court.
