Special trains to Bangalore extended for a month
Thiruvananthapuram, June 30 (UNI) To clear the extra rush of passengers, the Southern Railways has extended the special trains to Bangalore from Ernakulam and Kochuveli by a month.
The Ernakulam-Bangalore superfast special will leave Ernakulam Jn at 1700 hrs on Mondays and arrive Bangalore at 0420 hrs the next day. In the return direction, the train will leave Bangalore at 1715 hrs on Tuesdays and arrive Ernakulam Jn at 0430 hrs the next day, a railway release said here.
The train would halt at Alwaye, Thrissur, Ottapalam, Palghat, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Tirupathur, Bangarapet, Krishnarajapuram and Bangalore Cantt.
Train No 0622 Kochuveli-Bangalore Special (via Alleppey) will leave Kochuveli at 1415 hrs on Thursdays and arrive Bangalore at 0715 hrs the next day. Train No 0621 Bangalore-Kochuveli special will leave Bangalore at 1855 hrs on Fridays and arrive Kochuveli at 1110 hrs, the next day.
The train will stop at Kollam, Alleppey, Ernakulam Jn, Thrissur Palghat, Coimbatore Jn, Erode, Salem Tirupathur, Bangarapet, Krishnarajapuram and Bangalore Cantt, the release added.
