Several century old Hanuman idol found with a lion in north Kashmir
Srinagar, June 30 (UNI) A Hanuman idol, believed to be several century old, was found during earth digging in north Kashmir today.
Official sources said that a group of Muslims were digging earth near a mountain at Puthkha, Wagoora, in the north Kashmir district of Baramulla, when they found a big stone which was still several feet inside the earth.
They said picture of Hanuman and a Goddess on a lion was inscribed on the stone.
Hundreds of local residents visited the area.
Later, they decided to inform authorities about the recovery of the idol.
