NER former addl chief engineer sentenced in bribery case
Patna, Jun 30 (UNI) Special CBI Judge of Patna R.S.Prasad today awarded two years Rigorous Imprisonment to Lal Babu Sinha, a former Additional chief engineer of North Eastern railway (NER) in connection with a bribery case.
The designated judge also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 against the convict.
The judge found Mr Sinha guilty under various sections of prevention of corruption Act.
According to the charges Mr Sinha was caught red handed by CBI sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 from a contractor in connection with a tendor in 1992.
