Minor abducted from Surat rescued in Varanasi, two held
Varanasi, June 30 (UNI) A minor abducted from Surat on June 27 was rescued from the clutches of his captors by a joint team of Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh police here today.
Sanju (2) -- son of businessman Kunnu Bhai Marwah -- who was abducted from Kapodara, Surat was rescued in Paharia area under Sarnath police station by a team of Gujarat Police and Special Task Force (STF) of UP Police.
The joint team also nabbed two captors including Geeta Devi and her brother Rajesh Tiwari.
During interrogation, it was revealed that Geeta and Rajesh's sister Sangita had kidnapped Sanju to settle scores with the minor's family over a small dispute. Sangita lives in the same locality where the Marwah family resides.
Sangita later handed over Sanju to Geeta, who along with Rajesh brought the minor to Varanasi last night.
The Gujarat police team has left for Surat along with the rescued minor, Geeta Devi and Rajesh Tiwari.
