IIIT-Allahabad, Chinese Institute to collaborate

New Delhi, June 30: The School of Information Engineering, Shenyang University of China has expressed keen interest to tie up with Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT-A) to set up an exchange programme and to collaborate in various areas of academic and research of mutual interest.

In this connection, a Letter of Intent was signed by Prof Yuan Zhonghu of the Chinese University with Dr. Anurika Vaish, Assistant Professor, IIIT-A .

Dr Vaish was part of of 24 member Mission led by Mrs. Dilafrose Qazi, Vice Chairperson, SSM College of Engineering and Polytechnic, Jammu and Kashmir that has just returned from a week-long visit to China covering the cities of Beijing, Shenyang and Shanghai.

According to Dr. Vaish, the cooperation agreement to be entered into with Shenyang University would focus on areas such as : faculty exchange, student exchange, joint research and knowledge exchange.

Other areas of interest would include Database Management, Networking Technologies, Information Security and other allied areas of Computer Sciences, Dr. Vaish added.

Besides, the members of the delegation had useful discussion with education authorties of leading Chinese institutes.

This was the 3rd Mission for Universities, Business Schools and Institutes of Engineering and Technology from India organised by India China Alliance Centre (ICAC), New Delhi.
