CPI(M) lay siege to collectorate, activists arrested
Hyderabad, June 30 (UNI) Police today arrested activists and leaders of CPI-M when they laid seige to the Hyderabad collectorate, demanding the Andhra Pradesh government to solve the long-pending housing problems of the poor in the city.
The activists entered the premises of the collectorate and disrupted the District Review Committee (DRC) meeting, presided over by Energy Minister and in-charge Minister of Hyderabad District Mohd Ali Shabbir, demanding that the DRC include the poor housing issue in their agenda.
On information, police rushed to the spot and arrested them for causing law and order and affecting traffic in the busy Abids area.
