Orissa: Child throttled to death by father

Rourkela, Jun 30: In a shocking incident a father throttled his 18-month child to death.

Police said Nimai Minz(21) of Dhabakhol village under Sundergarh Sadar police station was arrested yesterday on charge of killing his one and half year old daughter by throttling her to death by means of a towel.

He then hid the body in a cave.

Incidentally, Nimai had married two women--Laxmi first and then Sangita--and had daughters by each of them.

Both wives had frequent quarrels. On Thursday Nimai allegedly took his daughter, born to Laxmi, and killed her after Sangeeta went to her parents' house with her child, police said.
