Centre releases Rs 3.77 crore under SGRY for Tripura

Agartala, June 30 (UNI) The Union Ministry of Rural Development has released grants-in-aid amounting to Rs 3.77 crore for Tripura as balance of first installment.

An official release here today said the ministry had allocated Rs 8.70 crore as Central assistance for implementation of the Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana(SGRY) in North Tripura district during 2007-2008.

The grant is towards plan expenditure and will be utilised for approved items of work subject to the conditions laid down in the SGRY Guidelines, it stated.

However, the ministry made it clear that no deviation from the provisions of the guidelines was permissible.

The expenditure on implementation of the programme with regard to cash component was to be shared on 75:25 basis between the Centre and the state respectively.
