Capital punishment in Praveen Murder Case
Kottayam, June 30 (UNI) A Fast Track Court here today awarded capital punishment to two people in the sensational Praveen Murder Case.
Kottayam Fast Track (II) Court Judge M K Shaji awarded capital punishment to the third accused Palluruthy Priyan (32) and fourth accused Edathil Sunil (32) in the sensational 2005 murder case.
According to the prosecution, the accused helped the first accused Former Dy SP R Shaji to murder Praveen of Ettumanoor.
Later the body was decapitated and hands and legs severed and disposed of at different places.
Shaji had planned Praveen's murder because of suspected illicit relationship with his wife.
Shaji and Binu were arrested within in a week and were sentenced to life imprisonment in January 2006.
