Prince Jewellery commences 'Ancient Secrets' exhibition
Chennai, June 29 (UNI) The city based Prince Jewellery has commenced its annual 15-day 'Ancient Secrets' antique jewellery exhibition, bringing together collection of original and recreated antiques, spanning the entire range from baroque extravagance to abstract simplicity.
Addressing the media, Jewellery MD Princeson Jose said the exhibition would display authentic antique pieces collected by the Prince family, during their travels across India. It included simple, less significant jewellery made for daily use, for ceremonies, jewellery reserved for special occassions and jewels of Gods and Royalty.
The exhibition inagurated by popular actor Shobana, the brand ambassador for the antique jewellery, featured glorious Thalis, Manga Malais from Tamil nadu, Bridal finery and ear ornaments from Malabar coast, necklace from Kolhapur and Maharashtra. The works from the ateliers of Rajasthan, Jhumkas from the North, the famed and simplified version of legendary Gowrishankaram necklace inlaid with rubies and rudrakshas from Chettinad would also attract the jewellery lovers.
