One dengue, 13 malaria cases reported in Mumbai
Mumbai, Jun 29 (UNI) With intermittent rains lashing the city, several cases of water-borne diseases like malaria and dengue have been reported from the metropolis.
According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Municipal Commissioner Jairaj Pathak, one case of dengue and 13 cases of malaria have been reported from across the city till today.
In the last couple of days, many areas in the city faced water-logging after heavy showers, thus leading to breeding of mosquitos.
However, Mr Pathak claimed that the Corporation was well-equipped to handle the situation, and it was taking all necessary steps to prevent the spread of these diseases.
